Fiss: Village Culture and Experiences on the Sunny Plateau

Fiss combines the character of a traditional Tyrolean village with exceptional summer and winter experiences. The village is situated on a flat, south-facing sunny plateau in the Oberes Gericht region, around 500 metres above the Inn Valley. The trail passes the Frommes Lakes; at a cross, it opens up to far-reaching views of the surrounding villages as well as Fiss and Serfaus.

Serfaus, Fiss, and Ladis form a connected family region in the Tyrolean Oberland. The three villages are linked by mountain lifts and, in winter, by a ski bus. On the northern side of Fiss, there is also a Skimovie course with a parallel racing track. Special cameras record the skiers’ runs and provide a video for analysing, sharing, or watching. In winter, a pedestrian zone allows walks through the village, providing a tranquil counterpoint to sporting activities.

In Fiss, it applies from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Guests arriving or departing, as well as residents travelling into or out of the village, are exempt.
