Paramount Theme Park was founded in Spain
At the end of May a symbolic ceremony of laying the first foundation stone of the Paramount Theme Park, which promises to be the largest amusement park in Spain.
It is planned that construction of the Paramount Theme Park will end within 3 years in 2015.

Paramount Theme Park promises to become the first European "city of attractions" of the famous American film studio. At the same time Warner Brothers film studio, which has recently opened the Movie World on the outskirts of Madrid, has already started to operate on the Spanish theme park market.

New Paramount theme park in Spain is planned to be the most modern among the already existing. It is expected that the park will include huge unique 3D rides, which other giants of the entertainment industry and recreation in Spain such as Terra Mitica in Benidorm and Port Aventura at the resort of Salou do not possess.

The ceremony of laying the first stone of the Paramount Theme Park was attended by the Paramount vice president Michael Bartok. He noted that the active phase of construction will begin no earlier than October after the end of the summer season in Murcia and obtaining final approval from the Algama city administration.

Construction of the Paramount Park in Murcia was announced in autumn 2011. However, the financial crisis in Spain made many people to doubt the success of the project. Nevertheless, it seems that the main contractor, PREMURSA company, intends to finish it in time.

The total amount of funds spent on the park construction will be about 1.5 billion Euros. In total 30 rides as well as hotels and casinos will be located on its territory. In the Spanish Paramount Theme Park will be created five themed zones, each of which dedicated to a particular film, including Mission: Impossible, The Chronicles of Spiderwick, Sleepy Hollow, Rango and Titanic.

The rides will be designed by Paramount Parks, one of the studio’s divisions. By the way, Paramount Parks already has experience of managing similar facilities in Spain. From 2001 to 2004 the company acted as the operator of the Terra Mitica Park at the Costa Blanca resort.
