Peru

Peru in the country situated on the West coast of South America. The country is determined by three different regions lasting impact. The relatively narrow coastal strip of the Pacific Ocean is most densely populated. It is supported by the vast Andean replaced. The Northern centre Trujillo is a popular tourist centre. It is remarkable for buildings from Mochica-colonial era that all are equally attractive as long beautiful beaches in the accompanying seaside resorts. Holiday-makers will also fine accommodations in the elegant cottages and hotels.

The South of Peru is also significant for historical sites and regions. Cusco, the former capital of the Inca empire, is the tourist center of the Andes, and it is located in 3,400 m altitude. There are many ruins of the holy sites, Spanish forts and beautiful churches in its surroundings.

The most visited tourist attraction in Peru is the city of Machu Picchu ruins that are situated on the a plateau just 80 km outside of Cusco.

During the trip to the white city of Arequipa one should visit the gigantic 3.00 m deep Colca Canyon, the fascinating Amazon region to a secluded and hard-to-reach metropolitan Iquitos.
