Presidente Epitácio: Dinosaurs, Water and Cycling

In Presidente Epitácio, unusual discoveries meet waterside experiences and a cycling route for beginners. At Vale dos Dinossauros, mechanical figures move and make sounds; along the Rio Paraná, viewpoints and designated diving sites offer different perspectives. Dinosaur figures and paths by the lake

Vale dos Dinossauros is located in Horto Florestal “Dr. Edson Valim”. There are nine realistic dinosaur figures, including mechanical ones that move and make sounds. Their lifelike design and moving figures give the visit a distinctive focus. If you’re travelling with children who are interested in dinosaurs, you can add this place to your itinerary as a dedicated outing.

Vale dos Dinossauros also has a boardwalk around the lake. This combines views of the dinosaur figures with a path beside the water. If you’d rather plan a peaceful walk than another themed attraction, this offers a different focus within the same location. The boardwalk is part of Vale dos Dinossauros and provides an easy way to find your bearings on site.

Rio Paraná: viewpoints, beach and diving

Mirante dos Peixes is in Parque da Orla Fluvial. From there, the view extends to Hélio Serejo Bridge and the Great Lake of the Rio Paraná. It’s a clear choice of viewpoint when you’re choosing between different kinds of outings: here, the focus is on the bridge and the waterscape, not on a cycling route or a visit to a market.

Parque O Figueiral is on the banks of the Rio Paraná and has a freshwater beach. Presidente Epitácio also has six officially approved diving sites, all in the Rio Paraná. A Discovery Scuba Diving experience can be done individually or in groups. If you’re interested in diving, you can take this option into account when planning; if you’d rather stay on shore, the beach and viewpoint offer other ways to enjoy the water.

Prainha da Orla is another waterside spot: it is in Parque da Orla, where kayaks are available for hire. Presidente Epitácio therefore offers several different water-based experiences—a viewpoint, a freshwater beach, diving sites and kayak hire.

Cycling and local offerings

The Trilha Epitácio–Caiuá connects Presidente Epitácio with Caiuá. The route follows an almost entirely gravel unpaved road alongside the railway line and has very few inclines, making it suitable for beginner cyclists. It’s a practical option for anyone planning an active outing by bike. It’s quite different from the waterside experiences and can help you decide what you want your trip to focus on.

Feira da Lua adds another dimension to the town: it showcases goods and services from local artisans, small businesses and producers, and has a food area. It complements your outings with local offerings and food.

Igreja Matriz de Presidente Epitácio is also part of the local culture. Dedicated to São Pedro, it was built in 1960.
