Rada Tilly combines a beach stretching more than 3 km with viewpoints, opportunities to stay active and a varied cultural programme. This lets you discover the character of the destination according to your interests: with time by the sea, a guided night hike or insights into the history of the Patagonian steppe. Families will also find practical options, such as play equipment in green spaces and activities for enjoying time together in different ways.

Beach, Sea and Viewpoints

At Rada Tilly beach, you can go kitesurfing, windsurfing, wakeboarding, kayaking and jet skiing. If you would like to focus your trip on activities on the water, you’ll find a range of different water sports here.

Nearby is the Mirador “El Arboledo” viewpoint, at an elevation of 167 m. From there, you can see across the entire city and the adjoining sea. South of Rada Tilly is also ANP Punta Marqués: the 167 m-high headland extends 2.5 km into the sea and has viewpoints offering wide-ranging views of the landscape. The protected area is centred on a colony of South American sea lions. Both places therefore offer their own perspectives on the city, sea and landscape.

Staying Active and Shared Experiences

Rada Tilly’s waterfront promenade includes a cycle path and two outdoor exercise stations. If you enjoy cycling on holiday or like to fit outdoor exercise into your day, you can include these options in your choice of activities. Some green spaces have accessible and inclusive infrastructure, as well as play equipment for children. The play equipment is a practical option for families with children.

A special experience is Trekking de la Luna Llena, a guided night hike along various paths and through different landscapes. It takes place once a month on the Saturday closest to the full moon and lasts approximately two and a half hours. Participation is subject to a fee and requires advance registration. This makes it different from an activity you can start independently at any time: the date, guided tour and registration all need to be part of your plans.

The Skate Park de Rada Tilly adds another distinctive feature. Located in “La Plaza del Viento,” the skate facility covers approximately 2,300 m². If you enjoy skateboarding or would like to include it in your trip, you’ll find a clearly designated facility here.

Discover Culture and History

Centro Cultural Rada Tilly offers a wide range of events: exhibitions, conferences, talks and debates, concerts, music series, theatre, and screenings of films, videos and short films. This offers different ways to explore your cultural interests—through discussion, music, performance or moving images. Feria de Artesanos y Emprendedores is also held regularly at the same Centro Cultural. Local producers, craftspeople and entrepreneurs come together there to present and sell a diverse range of creations and products.

Museo Regional Rada Tilly complements these cultural experiences with a self-guided tour about the history of the first inhabitants of the Patagonian steppe. If you enjoy exploring a subject at your own pace, this tour offers a different kind of discovery from the events at Centro Cultural. Together, the two cultural venues showcase different sides of the destination: the region’s history as well as changing artistic and public events.
