Le Bémont is a political municipality in the Franches-Montagnes District of the Canton of Jura in Switzerland. The municipality is located 1.5 km northeast as the crow flies from the district capital Saignelégier.

Landscape and Nature

The municipality of Le Bémont covers a section of the gently undulating high plateau of the Jura, with marshy depressions that mostly have no surface drainage, limestone knolls and extensive pastureland. In 1997, 69% of the municipal area was used for agriculture. The highest point in the municipality is located near the Les Rouges-Terres farms at 1,075 m above sea level.

The hills Petit Crêt and Cras au Sauvage are located in the vicinity of Le Bémont. The summit of Le Gros Crêt is also situated in the wider surrounding region.
