Historic Places and Local Memories

Gotlands Försvarsmuseum is now housed in several buildings at Förrådsgården. Havremagasinet was built as a grain store in 1902. Both places represent different chapters of local history: one focuses on defence and military memory, while the other reflects the building’s former use as a storehouse.

Polhemsgården was the family home where the inventor Polhem spent his childhood. Danielssons Torp is a restored cottage for the poor dating back to the early 18th and 19th centuries. Behind Polhemsgården, a nature trail begins leading to the Kutkäldu spring, a natural spring with a shelter.
