Parcent combines mountain landscapes with the valley of the Xaló River.

When comparing holiday apartments in Parcent, you can compare travel dates, room categories and cancellation policies on the respective offer pages. This allows the travel period and type of stay to be considered separately from the town’s natural, trail and cultural themes. The individual details can be read independently of one another: travel dates refer to the time frame, the room category to the layout offered, and cancellation policies to the respective terms and conditions. This keeps different accommodation details separate from the town’s distinct themes and allows them to be calmly integrated into your personal planning.

Nature

The natural vegetation of Parcent includes Aleppo pines, scattered holm oaks, Mediterranean scrub, as well as lavender, rosemary, thyme, mint, chamomile and dwarf palms. Almond trees are in bloom particularly in February. For your personal planning, this month is the specifically named seasonal reference point.

Hiking and Trails

The municipality of Parcent offers four different hiking suggestions. The Volta de les Fonts is a 13.75 km hiking route in Parcent with a moderate technical difficulty level. The trail Camins de pedra i aigua, classified as easy, connects Parcent with the other municipalities of the Vall de Pop and follows the Xaló River for most of the route. At Penya Llisa there is a via ferrata connected to the Mirador del Coll de Rates de Parcent. For your travel planning, the specific route length and technical rating of a trail provide different points of comparison from an easy-rated connecting trail or a via ferrata.

Culture and History

Construction of the Iglesia de la Purísima Concepción on the Plaza del Pueblo in Parcent began in 1630. The Cooperativa Agrícola “El Progrés” houses an ethnological museum in its former oil and wine press. Parcent has several visitable riuraus, which have been included in the Ruta dels Riuraus.

Casa Gabriel Miró dates from the late 16th or early 17th century. The municipality of Parcent acquired it in 2006 for use as a cultural centre. The patron saint festivities dedicated to Sant Llorenç take place in Parcent in the second week of August.

The Abric del Seguili preserves the oldest known traces of Parcent in the form of rock art, including a schematic motif and female figures from Levantine art. A circular structure stands in El Carrascar at an altitude of 780 m. Parcent also contains an Arab relic in the form of a rectangular structure with round-arched pillars.
