La Zenia vividly showcases its coastal character at Cala Cerrada: the fine-sand cove is located in the La Zenia urbanisation and is easily accessible from the N-332.

Coast

A cliff protects Cala Cerrada. From there, you can enjoy views of the sea and the Orihuela coast. The high rock walls of Cala Cerrada provide shade in the early afternoon.

Cala Bosque is a beach with fine sand. The accessible area includes adapted toilets, showers and changing rooms, an amphibious chair, a shaded area and an especially wide central walkway providing wheelchair access.

Cala Bosque also has an accessible bathing walkway or bathing area supervised by lifeguards, enabling people with reduced mobility to swim. Cala Bosque can be reached on foot or by bus from a town centre.

The coast can be treated as a separate focus when planning your personal itinerary for the day. You can weigh the landscape, beach, shade, accessible facilities, swimming and the described accessibility separately when bringing different interests together in one trip. This does not automatically have to result in one shared day; you decide the order and pace yourself.

Zenia Boulevard is located in La Zenia and has more than 160 shops. Zenia Boulevard features streets, squares and fountains and offers concerts as well as daily events. There is also a free outdoor exercise park and children's playgrounds.

The different offerings can be considered independently of one another. You can set your preferred focus among shopping, events, exercise and play and arrange the order of activities according to your own pace. Those who want to combine several themes can schedule them one after another instead of merging them into a single itinerary.

Cycling

The official cycling route programme on the Orihuela Costa includes one route in La Zenia; these routes are designated as cycle streets, cycle lanes and cycling routes.

Cycling is a separate focus alongside the coast and the boulevard. When planning, you can compare different types of activity without having to turn all the themes into a fixed daily itinerary. The coastal landscape, bathing area, shopping centre and cycling route thus remain clearly distinguishable starting points for planning your personal day.

The three focal points raise different planning considerations: at the coast, beach, landscape and swimming are side by side; at the boulevard, shopping, events, exercise and play; and on the cycling route, the designated infrastructure. Their order remains open; what matters is which of these existing themes you want to combine and which you want to keep separate.

When comparing a holiday apartment in La Zenia, you can primarily compare travel dates, room category and cancellation policies on the respective offer pages. These fields provide a clear framework for your own booking decision without anticipating any particular coastal or experience component.

Other destinations besides La Zenia include Playa Flamenca, Punta Prima, Dehesa De Campoamor, Castillo De Don Juan, Hurchillo, Cabo Roig, Torremendo and Los Balcones.
