When looking for a holiday apartment in Ibi, you can compare travel dates, room categories and cancellation policies on accommodation listing pages. The accommodation details are presented alongside the different features of the town: museums, natural areas, outdoor trails and traditional festivals.

Culture and History

The Museo Valenciano del Juguete preserves, researches and communicates the heritage of toys. It is housed in the historic buildings of the former Payá Hermanos, S.A. factory in Ibi. The Museo de la Fiesta is located in the grand Pérez-Caballero family home, known as “La Casa Gran”.

A hermitage was built on the ruins of the 10th-century “Castell Vermell” castle. The Molí de Paper paper mill began operating in 1860 and ended its intensive activity in 1920, when the production of tin toys displaced papermaking in Ibi. The exterior of the Molí de Paper can be viewed.

Nature and Trails

The Estación Biológica de Torretes covers 53 hectares, is home to a great diversity of flora and fauna, and is an example of Mediterranean landscape. It offers guided and self-guided visits. The annual educational activities offered by the Estación Biológica de Torretes include insect observation, mycology days and the Fireta de l’Herberet.

The Museo de la Biodiversidad is an exhibition and educational venue intended to convey the importance of nature conservation. The Barranc dels Molins is a natural area in the north of the municipality of Ibi, with forests, mountains and a spring. It has a prepared recreational area with barbecues, tables and benches. One of the sights along the PR-V127 “Camí dels Geladors” is the Font Roja Nature Park.

For your own planning, the available options can be sorted by museum visits, nature observation, outdoor activities and festival dates. Choosing between a guided and self-guided visit changes the way you experience it; the different themes can still be considered separately.

Festivals and Local Traditions

The winter festivals – Enfarinats, Tapats and Danzas – were recognised in 2009 as festivals of regional tourist interest. During Els Enfarinats, a battle with flour, eggs and gunpowder takes place every year on 28 December, following the one-day takeover of local power.

Ibi, known as “La Cuna del helado”, celebrates the traditional Festa dels Geladors every year. As part of this Festa, ice cream is distributed to the public for tasting.

Toys and Leisure

The Museo Arcade Vintage is Spain’s first interactive video game museum. The museum has 300 arcade machines and bowling lanes.
