In Moraña, in Paraños, in the parish of Gargantáns, you will find Lapa de Gargantáns, a cultural site classified as a Site of Cultural Interest. San Mamede de Amil is a Baroque church dating from 1781. Its floor plan is in the shape of a Latin cross, and the main façade features a three-part bell tower. This floor plan makes the cross shape apparent in the layout of the church interior, while the bell tower divides the façade into three clearly articulated sections. The Santuario da Nosa Señora dos Milagros de Amil is a 19th-century church. The building has an octagonal floor plan, granite masonry and a two-part slate roof. This structure therefore combines an unusual geometric ground plan, the regional building material granite and a clearly divided roof covering.

The Santuario can be reached via granite steps. The ascent begins at a lower-lying fountain, which features a relief of Our Lady of Miracles dating from 1778. The flight of steps and the fountain form part of the described complex and mark the route before the sanctuary is reached.
Architecture
San Martiño de Gargantáns is a 12th-century Romanesque church with later alterations. The nave is rectangular, while the apse has a semicircular end. In the central section there is a tracery rose window, flanked by two round-arched windows that also feature tracery. The later alteration remains part of the building's history without replacing the Romanesque dating of the church. Inside, the straight nave and the rounded end of the apse meet. In the central wall zone, the rose window forms the focal point; the two side windows with round arches use tracery as a shared design element.
Festivals and Cuisine
The Festa da Rapa das Bestas takes place in mid-July in the Pastizal area. The area is located near a viewpoint and consists of an expansive meadow with wooden fences. Stone tables are provided for picnics.
The pre-order menu for this gastronomic festival includes spit-roasted lamb, empanadas with Zorza, and empanadas with salt cod and raisins. Wine, bread and coffee are also included in the menu. The menu must be ordered in advance.
On the last Sunday in July, a gastronomic festival of tourist importance is held in the oak grove of Santa Lucía.
Landscape and Paths
The Área de Recreo de A Bouza is located in A Bouza, in the parish of Santa Xusta de Moraña. You can reach Freixa das Laxes by leaving your vehicle and then continuing on foot along a paved path to a small bridge over the river.
