Culture and History
The Museu d'Art de Sabadell explores the history of local art from the 19th century to the present day.
Its collection comprises more than 13,000 objects. These include paintings, drawings and applied art. The collection also includes ceramics, photographs and sculptures.
The Museu d'Història de Sabadell is housed in the factory and residence of the industrialist Antoni Casanovas. This building was constructed in 1859.
Casa Duran was built between 1578 and 1606. It was designed as an elegant residence. At the same time, it was built for agricultural production.
The Turull factory and residence combines work and living spaces in one building. Since 1964, it has been home to the Museu d'Art de Sabadell.
The Buxeda Vell museum site preserves a Wolf steam engine. It is semi-fixed and mobile. The machine dates from 1906.
The Masia Can Deu houses the Museu de la Vida al Camp. The museum features an extensive exhibition of old tools. Rooms with antique furniture and historic objects have also been preserved.
