History and archaeology

The second site features a wall built from large stones that closes off the cape as a bastion or fortification. Researchers associate the coastal settlements at Castellàs des Caparrot de Forma with trade and seafaring. The archaeological complex was declared an asset of cultural interest, a Bien de Interés Cultural (BIC).

Castellàs des Caparrot de Forma is freely accessible and can be visited with caution. It can be reached via section 17 of the Camí de Cavalls between Cala en Porter and Binissafúller. Another route starts at Cala Canutells next to the centre of Es Canutells and leads towards Cales Coves. Section 17 of the Camí de Cavalls runs between Cala en Porter and Binissafúller. This means that, alongside the coastal area, there are paths with different starting points and destinations.
