Kráľovičove Kračany: Vacation apartment between culture and nature
Kráľovičove Kračany features Neoclassical architecture, sacred architectural forms and a park with distinctive flora and fauna. In the village and its surroundings, you will encounter structures, islands and natural habitats with clearly distinguishable characteristics.
The spatial classification complements the different architectural forms: Kľučiarove Kračany has two churches, Lesné Kračany has the chateau, while the other chateaux, the monastery and the castle are each classified according to their own spatial relation. The same pattern is repeated for the islands, with a nearby area, surrounding area and wider regional surroundings. This keeps the village center, surrounding area and regional destinations clearly separate from one another.
Culture
A Neoclassical building stands in Kľučiarove Kračany: the Roman Catholic church there dates from 1840. The Church of Saint Joseph is also located in Kľučiarove Kračany. The single-nave building has a presbytery vaulted by an irregular apse ending, with a segmental termination and a small integrated tower.
Lesné Kračany is associated with chateau architecture. The chateau is a Neoclassical building dating from 1830. It is a two-storey structure with a rectangular floor plan and an eleven-axis main façade. At its center are a columned portico and a balcony. The architect is considered to be Anton Truman from Vienna.
Historical structures can also be found in the nearby and wider surroundings. Pálfiovský kaštieľ, a chateau, is located in the vicinity of Kráľovičove Kračany. Amadeovský kaštieľ is a chateau in the surroundings of Kráľovičove Kračany. The Svätý Anton Monastery is located in the same area. Eberhard Castle lies in the wider regional surroundings.
Nature
The named landscape features include several islands with different spatial relations. Ostrov is an island in the vicinity of Kráľovičove Kračany. Új-sziget is an island in the surrounding area of the village. Laci-sziget and Madarász-sziget are islands in the wider regional surroundings of Kráľovičove Kračany.
The park in Kráľovičove Kračany plays a special role. It is a gene-pool locality of flora with moisture-loving vegetation in depressions, which are associated with several significant animal species. The gene-pool locality of fauna in the park is one of the best-preserved habitats of this anthropogenic biotope on Žitný ostrov.
The park therefore brings together two explicitly named natural areas: moisture-loving vegetation characterizes the depressions, while the fauna gene-pool locality describes the habitat of the animal life. This is complemented by the large colony of rooks and jackdaws. Their nesting activity, which has continued for several years, is one of the park’s specific features.
The park is also characterized by a large colony of rooks (Corvus frugilegus) and jackdaws (Corvus monedula). Both species have been nesting there for several years.
