Holiday apartment in Vinne: Lake, wine and Viniansky hrad

From Vinné, a blue-marked hiking trail leads on foot to Viniansky hrad. At the mountain saddle, it changes to a yellow-marked trail that leads to the castle. A blue-marked forest path leads to Viniansky hrad; on the ascent, the walk takes no longer than one hour. The marked trail sections, the mountain saddle and the stated ascent time provide a clearly described sequence for the hike to the castle ruins.

Nature

Since 1984, the nature reserves Vinianska stráň and Viniansky hradný vrch have protected particularly valuable areas of the surroundings of Vinné. These include rare drought-loving grassland-shrub and forest communities with significant relict vegetation, as well as xerothermic and forest-steppe communities on the southern slopes of the Vihorlatské vrchy. Thus, alongside the paths to the castle, the landscape also focuses on protected habitats and the distinctive plant communities of the southern slopes.

The ruins of Viniansky hrad offer views of the East Slovak Lowland. Another viewpoint is associated with the ruins of the small church below Senderov: the restored monument offers one of the most beautiful views of Zemplínska šírava and the surrounding landscape of southern Zemplín. The two viewpoints therefore open up views of different landscapes: in one case across the lowland, and in the other across the lake and southern Zemplín.

Water

Vinianske jazero covers an area of 8 hectares and is up to 3.8 metres deep. The lake is intended for swimming, water sports and fishing. At Vinianske jazero, there is a pedal boat and boat rental service. The information on the area and depth describes the lake as specifically as the activities permitted there and the boat rental available.

In the vicinity of Táborisko, there are several motorboat rental services at the lake, as well as the possibility of sightseeing trips. The traditional Jánske ohne nad Šíravou event has also been held at Vinianske jazero since 2013. The lake therefore offers both the aforementioned sports and leisure activities and an event that has been held since 2013.

Wine and landscape

Vinné has an almost eight-hundred-year tradition of winegrowing and wine production. This history is also reflected in the ZA VIŇANSKIMA JATKAMI wine trail. It leads visitors past dozens of winegrowing buildings partially embedded in the ground, known as Jatki. The educational trail makes the long history of winegrowing visible through a series of named buildings and leads through the local landscape.

Culture and history

Viniansky hrad castle dates from the second half of the 13th century. A tower with a triangular floor plan was built at Viniansky hrad in the 1260s. In the upper part of Vinné stands the Church of St. Anne, a national cultural monument. The historical information thus ranges from the castle's period of origin to a specifically dated tower construction and a protected religious building in the village.

The municipal museum and gallery of Vinné are accessible to the public, particularly for study, gaining knowledge, education and aesthetic experiences. The historical sites, nature reserves, lake and wine trail each represent their own facets of the village.
