The “Luchanovo — Dyzvezdny Klyuch” walking trail begins in Luchanovo and leads to the Luchanovo-Ipatovsky Kedrovnik. This protected natural area of regional significance in Tomsky District borders the southeastern edge of Luchanovo. If the trail is to be a focus of your trip, you can consider Luchanovo as a search location for a holiday rental: the named starting point is here.

A walking trail with a regional route

Although the trail begins in Luchanovo, its wider regional route passes through several stops. After the Luchanovo-Ipatovsky Kedrovnik come the pond and “Bobrovyy Ray” on the Nefyodovka. The route continues to Vedmina Gora, the upper reaches of the Nefyodovka, through the Yakunina valley, and to Dyzvezdny Klyuch. It then leads to the Tugoyakovka and the “Zapovednoye” sanatorium-preventorium.

Culture in Tomsk Oblast

Tomsk Oblast offers a separate regional theme. The “Chumel Chvech” Museum on Lake Oskino in Parabelsky District introduces visitors to the culture and daily life of the southern Selkup. Visits are by prior arrangement. Among the museum’s first buildings are dwellings and everyday structures: a half-dugout with a pyramidal roof, used until the 17th century; the “Chulmat” log house; a clay oven; a storehouse on stilts; and a Russian log house with a vegetable garden.

Visitors can view the works of craftspeople in Okolitsa Park year-round. Special event spaces showcase traditions shaped by Russian, Tatar, Chinese, Uzbek, Selkup, and other cultures. The rural park is also the traditional venue for the International Folk Arts and Crafts Festival “Prazdnik Topora.” The festival has been held in Tomsk Oblast since 2008 and features four competitions for craftspeople, a large decorative and applied arts fair, and a concert program. Hundreds of participants and thousands of spectators from across the country and nearby countries come to the event. Dates and programs vary from year to year; check the current festival dates if you are planning to attend.

Another active option in Tomsk Oblast

A different kind of experience is the 27-kilometer swamp vehicle and hiking route “Zov bolotnoy tishiny” in Bakcharsky District, Tomsk Oblast. It is intended for visitors aged 12 to 70. Excursions must be booked in advance and take place with staff; confirm the current arrangements directly with the protected area before your trip. Compared with the walking trail near Luchanovo, different factors matter here: the combination of swamp vehicle travel and hiking, the stated age range, and the requirement to book in advance and be accompanied. This helps you distinguish the local trail from regional activities according to their respective stated conditions.
