Dakhovskaya offers two very different reasons to visit: a ride through the forest up to the Una-Koz ridge and a local beach on the Dakh River. A bridge over the mountain river and the area’s connection to rafting are also part of the picture.

By cable car to the ridge

The Savranskaya cable car is a passenger cableway for sightseeing trips. It opened on December 13, 2014. The ride goes up to the Una-Koz ridge and through the forest among centuries-old trees. The destination and the route offer different highlights: the trip includes not only the ridge, but also the forest passage along the way. Since operating hours may change, check them before your visit.

In the stanitsa of Dakhovskaya, there is a local beach on the Dakh River used by residents and travelers. This adds a riverbank as a distinct highlight alongside the forest and ridge. If you are looking for a holiday apartment in Dakhovskaya, this distinction can help you choose what to focus on: would you mainly like to include the cable car ride and forest, or put the river more at the center of your visit?

River, bridge, and rafting

The Dakhovsky Bridge crosses the mountain river Dakh. It adds a named structure to the river theme; the local beach represents how residents and travelers use the riverbank. Together, the two offer a concrete look at how different places along the same named river are described.

Dakhovskaya is named as one of the rafting centers in the Republic of Adygea. This is another connection to water, this time as an activity. If you plan to go rafting, check before your trip whether this activity is currently available.

More impressions of the Republic of Adygea

Beyond the local highlights, there are different landscapes to discover in the Republic of Adygea. South of the stanitsa of Dakhovskaya lies the Granite Canyon, a gorge formed by the currents of the Belaya River. The Rufabgo Waterfalls are near Kamennomostsky, one of Adygea’s tourist centers. The gorge and waterfalls are two specific examples of the destination’s varied landscapes.

From Kamennomostsky, a free-to-access hiking trail passes the Khadzhokh Gorge and then follows the Belaya River below the rock known as “Pronesi gospod’i.” The route thus includes the gorge, river, and rock as successive landmarks. Take care along the way.

The Museum of the Caucasus Nature Reserve was founded in Guzeripl in 1956. Its exhibits cover the history of the reserve and its flora and fauna, including taxidermy specimens and interactive content. The museum thus brings together nature and history in its exhibits.

At the enclosure complex in Guzeripl, visitors can see wildcats, wolves, red deer, fallow deer, and other wild animals, and learn about their lives in the wild. While the museum presents its subjects through exhibits, the enclosure complex focuses on encounters with the animals mentioned. Check before your trip whether both attractions are currently open to visitors.
