The Bălceștilor Manor combines Gothic architecture with the Brâncovenesc style. The foundation stone of the manor was laid in 1828 by Iancu Bălcescu and Zinca, Nicolae Bălcescu’s mother. The wooden church located there is considered a historical monument more than two centuries old; its walls consist of oak beams with dovetail joints, complemented by a wooden-shingle roof.
