Today, the memorial room of the Bolyai Museum is located on the ground floor of the Teleki Library building. The present-day medieval citadel was built in the 17th century on the site of an older fortification dating from 1492. Its pentagonal layout and seven bastions define the complex; it has been completely renovated. At the citadel, the Archaeological and Historical Museum presents the history of the region, its cultural heritage and the area's archaeological heritage.
