Culture

In Brădești, the church Biserica „Sf. Ioan Botezătorul“ is dated to 1825. In Brădeștii Bătrâni stands the Orthodox church Biserica „Sf. Arhanghel Mihail“; it is dated to 1751 and stands on the site of a wooden church from 1651.

The Sărbătoarea Călușului in Brădeștii Bătrâni is a cultural and traditional event associated with Rusalii and includes the ritual Căluș dance. Tatomirești is documented in a charter issued by Constantin Brâncoveanu in 1700.

Since 2009, the celebration “1 Mai – Ziua comunei” has been held on 1 May each year; its programme included a folklore performance.
