Churches and historic sites around Corbu

In Corbu de Jos, there is a parish church dedicated to the “Sfinţii Împăraţi Constantin şi Elena”. It was built in 1891 with the help of local residents. Another church is located in the central area of Corbu de Sus. It dates from between 1921 and 1940.

The nearby area also includes Biserica Luminiţa and Biserica de Sus Corbu churches. Both add further religious destinations in the Corbu area to the churches in the village districts.

The ruins of Urmele Cetăţii Karaharman Vadu are also located in the surrounding area. The Geamia Năvodari mosque is additionally located nearby. The Delfinariu zoo is located in the wider regional area.

For those interested in culture, the view is therefore not limited to a single village district: Corbu de Jos and Corbu de Sus are complemented by destinations in the nearby and wider surrounding area.

Beaches, Cape and Lake

Kudos Beach is located in the surrounding area. Celsius Beach is also located in the wider regional area. Capul Midia is likewise located nearby.

Lacul Corbu is located in the Natura 2000 area ROSPA0060 “Lacurile Tasaul – Corbu”. Lacul Corbu can be planned as an independent nature destination alongside the coastal destinations. Those who wish to distinguish between the beach, cape and lake can consider these destinations as separate focuses of a stay.

Planning can therefore be based on the desired combination of coast and nature without combining both areas into a single destination.

Fishing at Balta Corbu

The Balta Corbu fishing facility comprises several areas with different focuses. EC2 is the most important competition section there, with 75 fishing spots; Catch and Release rules generally apply. EC3 Corbu Mic has eight premium piers. These are located three metres above the water surface and are intended for multi-day fishing trips. Canalul de Alimentare is the leisure area of the Balta Corbu fishing facility.

For anglers, this creates a clear choice between the competition section, a multi-day fishing trip and the leisure area.

The Balta Corbu fishing facility can be reached via the road between Năvodari, Corbu and Istria. At the entrance to Corbu, a paved road branches off to the left towards the dam between Corbu Mare and Corbu Mic. For a multi-day fishing trip, this specific access road is part of the practical planning, alongside the choice of fishing area.
