La Gropi is an open Geto-Dacian settlement from the La Tène period, dating from the 2nd to the 3rd century, with pit houses.
History and Culture
La Cetate also includes an early medieval settlement dating from the 8th to the 9th century. Archaeological investigations at the V16-Pădurea Vrăbiilor site uncovered 13 graves that probably belonged to a larger necropolis. Settlement layers from the early medieval period were also identified at the same site.
