Benagil between cliffs, caves, and coastal paths

Benagil combines a small fishing-village coastline with striking rock formations, sea caves, and a variety of options for planning your day. Landing on the sandy beach there and using it for swimming are not permitted. Access to the interior of the Algar de Benagil by swimming or with flotation aids is likewise not permitted. The Percurso dos Sete Vales Suspensos offers a second perspective on the coast. The signposted circular trail is approximately 10 km long and runs between Praia da Marinha and Praia de Vale de Centianes. Information boards and rest areas accompany the route. The rest areas offer views of rocky headlands and various karst formations.

One section of the path runs directly above the skylight of the Benagil Cave. This makes it possible to view the cave landscape not only from the coastal area but also from above. Boat Trips Along the Coast

Boat trips along the coast are possible from Benagil. From the water, you can observe the heavily sculpted rock walls and characteristic sea caves. Those who appreciate different perspectives can therefore combine a day on the coast with a walk or a section of the Percurso dos Sete Vales Suspensos without entering the restricted areas inside the Algar de Benagil.
