Viewpoints and trails along the San
A marked tourist route in Dynów, about 17 kilometres long, leads to five viewpoints and beaches on the San. Most of the route is suitable for cycling and has been prepared for cyclists; the viewpoints can also be reached on foot. Check current trail conditions before setting off. Three marked hiking trails also pass through Dynów. If you plan to explore on foot, it is worth checking the current trail markings in advance.
Cycling routes starting and ending in Dynów
The “Doliną Sanu” nature, education and tourism cycling route, designated by the Association of Tourist Municipalities of the Dynów Foothills, starts and ends in Dynów. Two routes begin and end here. The second runs from Dynów via Łubno and Nozdrzec, a ferry crossing and Dąbrówka Starzeńska, before returning to Dynów; it is about 22 kilometres long. Factor the ferry crossing into your plans and check how it is operating before your ride.
The approximately 17-kilometre route with viewpoints and beaches and the roughly 22-kilometre second loop of “Doliną Sanu” differ both in length and in their described routes. This can help you plan: consider whether you would prefer to focus on the viewpoints or take a loop route that includes a ferry crossing.
Discover the town’s history
The “Śladami Żydowskich Mieszkańców Dynowa” educational trail explores the history of Dynów’s Jewish residents. The town’s early history can also be traced to a specific year: the oldest mention of Dynów dates to 1423, when it was called Denow.
Houses and townhouses dating from around the turn of the 20th century line the market square. The late Renaissance Church of St. Lawrence was built in the 17th century; its vault is decorated with stucco. These distinct architectural features offer a visible contrast in the town’s history: the market-square buildings from a later period and the older church with its decorated vault.
Two combat bunkers from the so-called Molotov Line are located on Bartkówka Street. The first is a single-embrasure frontal bunker built into the slope of Winnica; it is near house No. 18.
Train station and trip planning
At Dynów’s narrow-gauge railway station, a locomotive has been set up as an open-air museum. The station building is considered the most representative along the Przeworska Kolej Dojazdowa narrow-gauge railway line, which runs between Dynów and Przeworsk.
