Culture and History
Among the defining cultural monuments is the wooden cemetery church of Saints Bartholomew and Martin, dating from 1697. Its tower dates from 1789.
Borki Wielkie is also home to a neo-Gothic church of Saint Francis of Assisi, dating from 1911. It contains a 15th-century triptych depicting the Dormition of the Virgin Mary.
Borki Wielkie is mentioned in a letter from Pope Celestine III from 1193 to the abbot of the NMP Monastery in Piasek in Wrocław.

The Franciscans settled in Borki Wielkie in 1905 after Father Bruno Alexander had campaigned for it.
