Memorial Chapel and Pilgrimage Tradition
The Bavarian Chapel is one of Reinschdorf’s tourist attractions. It was built after 1807 in memory of twelve fallen Bavarian soldiers. Its history thus links a specific memorial site with the period after 1807. In the 2000s, the chapel was reconstructed using existing photographs; the reconstruction was completed in 2007. Reinschdorf’s pilgrimage tradition, meanwhile, dates back to 1878. It includes a vowed pilgrimage to Ujazd for the Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary on 2 July. The tradition offers a different perspective on local history than the chapel: here, the focus is on religious customs associated with a specific feast day and the destination of Ujazd. The Gminny Ośrodek Kultury organises dozens of events each year, either independently or in collaboration with other institutions. Cultural life is therefore not limited to a single type of event. In 2025, the programme included workshops, concerts, celebrations and festivals. There were also integration events and social gatherings, as well as art competitions and theatre performances. Activities for children were also part of that year’s programme. Activities for the Community
The Orlik sports field hosts activities led by an animator, tournaments and sports competitions. They are open to the entire municipal community.
