Collections and local history

The School Tradition Room of the 7th Lublin Uhlan Regiment has been located at the 7 PUL School Complex in Cyców since 2005. Its collections are open to visitors in two rooms. The regiment's history is the main focus. The collection gives this subject a concrete setting and distinguishes it from the architectural history of the former church or the military cemetery. Church and statue of the Virgin Mary

The former Uniate Church of St. Michael the Archangel in Cyców was built between 1860 and 1870 in the Byzantine style. In 1875, it was converted into an Orthodox church, and in 1918 into the Roman Catholic Church of the Protection of St. Joseph. This sequence traces changes in its religious affiliation; at the same time, its architectural style provides a point of reference for the period in which it was built. Opposite the former church stands a statue of the Virgin Mary dating from 1862. It therefore dates from the church's construction period and adds another dated reference point to its historical context. A memorial site connected to two wars

Another way to explore Cyców's past is to visit the First World War military cemetery. It is also the final resting place of soldiers killed in the Polish–Soviet War. The site is therefore connected to two conflicts. Unlike the church, this is not about architectural style and changing use, but about the fallen and historical remembrance. If you include cultural and historical sites in your travel plans, you can distinguish between a building that underwent religious changes and a cemetery connected to two wars.

An active touch

A climbing park is located on the grounds of the Gminne Centrum Sportu i Rekreacji in Cyców. It offers a different focus from the historical attractions and adds climbing to the options available.
