Kobylnica: Trails, Culture and History

Kobylnica combines hiking and cycling trails with cultural sites and memorials. The Piast Trail passes through the village; the 13.1-kilometre “Filozoficzna” hiking trail also starts here, leading via Dziewicza Góra to Czerwonak. A yellow-marked hiking trail starts at Kobylnica railway station; the 15.5-kilometre R1 cycling route also passes by the station. This makes the station a shared reference point for hikers and cyclists.

Kobylnica can be reached by train on the Poznań–Gniezno line for the “Filozoficzna” hike. Another stated option is the municipal bus 412 from Swarzędz, departing from Rondo Śródka in Poznań. You can therefore plan your journey to this hike using the described transport options. Which connection suits you depends on whether you prefer to travel by train or by bus.

The Piast Trail and historic sites

The Piast Trail passes through Kobylnica. A group of wooden sculptures with historical motifs along the village road is associated with the trail. The Church of the Holy Cross stands in the south of Kobylnica; it was built after 1981.
