The sea area around Kolgrov extends from Lyngøyna to Rørdalsfjorden and includes many islets and skerries, including Kverknappen. When choosing a holiday apartment, this broader area may matter just as much as individual bathing spots: you can plan around the wider coastal area or specific bathing places.

Coves, rock and coastal heath

The Husøyna cove in Kolgrov faces northwest and is surrounded by bare rock and coastal heath. Norde Kalvika in Kolgrov is also a northwest-facing bathing cove with bare rock and coastal heath. The quay and beach area of Kolgrov is also used for swimming.

Traces of early settlement

There are rock overhangs with traces of early settlement below the Kolgrov farm. There are nine burial mounds in total beneath the farms of Kolgrov, Indrøy, Steinsund and Stokkevåg. This figure applies to all four farms combined.
