The village of Luster and the trail to Børesteinen
The village of Luster lies by the Lustrafjord, an arm of the Sognefjord, and is one of the small fjord villages between Jostedalsbreen and Jotunheimen. A hike provides a specific starting point for exploring the landscape: the route to Børesteinen begins in the village centre and follows the old path to the mountain farm at Berge. Børesteinen is considered one of the finest viewpoints overlooking the Lustrafjord and the village of Luster. The hike thus connects the village with an old route and views of the fjord and village—an appealing option for anyone who likes to include a hike in their stay.

Choose your holiday apartment to suit your itinerary
When choosing a holiday apartment or house, it helps to first decide what you want to focus on during your stay: will the village of Luster and the hike to Børesteinen that starts there be the main draw, or are you planning your trip mainly around glaciers, waterfalls, culture and other activities in the wider destination of Luster? Your specific itinerary is a better guide than a general idea of a fjord holiday.
