Nature

Crna Poda is an 80-hectare black pine nature reserve within Durmitor National Park, located near Bistrica at the beginning of the Tara Gorge. Those wishing to rent a holiday apartment in Bistrica can then continue their accommodation search.

The Ljevak stream divides Bistrica into two parts. In Tmajevac, the Ravnjak River flows into the Tara and forms a small lake. The endemic plant Munika grows above Bistrica in the Tara Gorge. Forests are most common in the area around Bistrica. Near the entrance to the Tara Gorge, the Ravnjak is described as being so clear that it can be drunk.

Water

The Bistrica–Kulina–Splavište kayaking tour starts in Bistrica and includes the Đavolji lazi Gorge. Kayaking is promoted in the Tara Canyon, including expeditions suitable for beginners and experienced kayakers.

The Lug rural household offers rafting organized by local guides, as well as views of the Tara River and the surrounding mountain peaks.

Culture

The Bistričke vodenice in Bistrica, Mojkovac, are classified as potential immovable cultural heritage assets in the protected zone of Durmitor National Park.

At Camp Rabrenović, there are hiking and cycling trails beside the Bistrica River. Camp Rabrenović also has a family restaurant serving homemade specialties.

Regular bus services connect Mojkovac with all parts of Montenegro. Mojkovac’s railway network provides connections to cities in Montenegro and the wider region via the Bar–Belgrade railway line.
