The monument is dedicated to 28 pilots, scouts and mechanics of the 3rd Seaplane Command who died in the service of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. Hillside Park preserves the form of its historic garden paths and incorporates existing trees.

The “Portonovi Summer Rise” route leads along coastal paths, through forest and across hilly terrain before reaching the “1. maj” viewpoint, with panoramic views of Boka Bay.
