Culture

Budva Old Town has cafés, boutiques, bars, restaurants, and galleries. In summer, performances, concerts, and exhibitions are added. The Church of the Holy Trinity was completed in 1804. The Cathedral of St. John in Budva Old Town was reconstructed in the 17th century and is dedicated to the Nativity of St. John the Baptist.

Citadel Budva is located at the highest point on the southern side of Budva Old Town and marks the beginning and end of the city walls. It houses a museum and hospitality facilities.

Santa Maria in Punta is located on the cape “in punta” in the southwestern part of Budva Old Town. According to a surviving inscription, Santa Maria in Punta was founded by Benedictines in 840. The church is used as an exhibition space as well as for classical music concerts and performances. The Budva City Museum presents archaeological and ethnographic exhibitions. The Budva region is also associated with specialities and dishes, wine, and olives.

Nature

Mogren Beach consists of two beaches connected by a tunnel. A 350-metre-long concrete path leads there from Hotel Avala. Outside the bathing season, Mogren Beach is visited by walkers, anglers, and adventurers.

Pizana Beach is a 50-metre-long pebble beach next to Budva Old Town, located beside Budva Marina and restaurants.

Geographical location

Budva is located at the intersection of the Adriatic Highway E65 and the M2.3 road to Cetinje and Podgorica. Regular bus services connect Budva with Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and North Macedonia. In summer, the number of international bus services to Budva increases.

Budva Port and Marina is located directly next to the walls of Budva Old Town. Budva Marina has 330 commercial berths divided into 17 areas. All areas have water and electricity connections.
