Neringa: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Pervalka is a fishing village on the Curonian Spit in Lithuania and belongs to the municipality of Neringa. The village is located on Pervalka Bay of the Curonian Lagoon; to the west, it is surrounded by a chain of dunes. Village Character and History

The village is characterised by picturesque wooden fishermen’s houses. Many of these houses are used as holiday homes in summer. Karvaičiai, a ruin site, is also located in the vicinity of Pervalka.

Landscape

The nearby area also includes the cape of Biržtvyno Kyšulys. The island of Zingelinės Sala and the hill of Preilos Kalnas are located in the vicinity of Pervalka. The island of Vito Sala belongs to the wider regional surroundings of Pervalka.

Geographical Location

Pervalka is considered the smallest settlement in Neringa. Around 40 residents live there permanently; in summer, the population increases significantly due to holidaymakers and seasonal workers in the tourism industry.

West of Pervalka, the Lithuanian regional road KK 167 runs from Klaipėda to the Lithuanian-Russian border near Nida. Pervalka is located 18 kilometres north of Nida and 34 kilometres south of Klaipėda.
