Between Monte Grappa and the Venetian Plain

Paderno Del Grappa is a destination for holidays during which you can discover forest trails, mountain landscapes and historic buildings at different paces. The landscape of Pieve del Grappa is characterized by its location at the foot of Monte Grappa, between the hills of the Asolo area and the Venetian Plain. Pieve del Grappa also combines the heritage of the villages of Crespano, Paderno and Fietta. If you are looking for a holiday apartment in Paderno Del Grappa, you can plan your stay around your preferred combination of activities, nature and culture.

An easy hike with history along the Lastego

The easy hike “B – Paderno and the Ezzelini Trail” begins in Paderno by the Lastego stream. Covering 5.50 km, it ascends 150 metres and takes around 1 hour and 40 minutes. Along the route are the parish church of Paderno, the old Church of San Paolo, a small waterfall and an old mill on the Lastego stream, as well as Villa Fietta. This makes it possible to combine a manageable-length trail with several natural and cultural points of interest.

Forest trails, castle ruins and via ferratas

Route C, “Le Motte and Col Muson”, also begins in Paderno and leads through the surrounding forests to the ruins of the medieval Col Muson castle. From there, it offers an impressive view over the valley. The Ferrata dei Sass Brusai leads from Paderno through the Lastego Valley to the Chapel of Saints Liberale and Vitale and ascends around 350 metres along the southern ridge of Sass Brusai. From San Liberale, the Carlo Guzzella via ferrata initially follows a forest road and then a wooded ridge towards the rugged rock faces of Napon.

Church and local history

The parish church of the Annunciation, Chiesa parrocchiale dell’Annunciazione della Beata Maria Vergine, has been documented since an initial record from 1297. This was a papal tithe in connection with the Pieve di San Pietro di Fonte. After the severe earthquake of 25 February 1695, the parish church was badly damaged and subsequently rebuilt.

Along the Muson

The tourist route “Sui Sentieri degli Ezzelini” along the Muson is a total of 40 km long and is intended for cyclists and pedestrians. It runs mainly along the Muson River and partly along the Musonello, passing through the municipalities of Riese Pio X, Loria, Castello di Godego, Castelfranco Veneto, Resana, Crespano del Grappa, Paderno del Grappa, Fonte and Asolo. In San Liberale, in the municipality of Paderno, it reconnects with the Grappa routes. If you choose a holiday apartment in Paderno Del Grappa, you can decide in advance whether the focus should be on an easy hike, forest and rock trails, church history or a longer cycling and walking route.

A special natural highlight

Ca’ Biotti is a place of natural beauty with an iron-rich spring of oligomineral quality, which was already being used at the beginning of the 19th century.
