Loria combines a long route for cycling and hiking days with nature and cultural experiences in Bessica. Holiday apartment in Loria for active days along the Muson
The tourist itinerary “Sui Sentieri degli Ezzelini” is a cycling and walking route measuring 40 kilometres in total. The route runs mainly along the Torrente Muson and partly along the Musonello. It passes through the municipalities of Riese Pio X, Loria, Castello di Godego, Castelfranco Veneto, Resana, Crespano del Grappa, Paderno del Grappa, Fonte and Asolo. The combination of cycling and walking allows for different day plans without requiring you to commit to just one form of transport.
Loria also has a nature park on the old riverbed of the Muson. A municipal car park providing access to the walking trail is located north of the Parco sul Muson. It can be reached via an unpaved access road from Via Monte Santo.
Fiera Bessica and impressions of local life
Fiera Bessica includes an Area Artigianato in the multipurpose area behind the church. The fair also features an exhibition of agricultural models in Villa Baroni. The two venues focus on different aspects: handicrafts are the main attraction in the Area Artigianato, while the models in Villa Baroni establish a connection with agriculture.
Monumento ai Caduti in Bessica
In Bessica, the Monumento ai Caduti is located in a green space opposite the Chiesa Arcipretale di San Giovanni Battista. The monument consists of an unfinished stone base with slabs of white marble. A rock formation with four sculptural elements stands on the base. A cross-shaped commemorative plaque bears the names of the soldiers who died in the First World War. Three additional plaques name those missing in action, those who fell for their homeland and the civilians who lost their lives in the war from 1940 to 1945.
The Monumento ai Caduti was inaugurated in 1924 and restored in 2018; missing parts were also replaced during the restoration. Visiting the monument can therefore be combined not only with viewing its design but also with considering the site's historical development. Masses at the Chiesa di San Giovanni Battista in Bessica were listed for Saturday, 29 August, at 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, 30 August, at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m.
