The Monte Pelmo–Monteval, Formin area is characterised by Dolomite formations of outstanding scenic value. It also includes subalpine larch–Swiss stone pine forest formations. In the Zoldo Alto area, Monte Pelmo lies northeast of the Maè Valley. The smaller Sorgenti del Civetta nature area also belongs to the Zoldo Alto area. Palafavera is also home to the only biathlon facility in Veneto. Its biathlon shooting range has 30 shooting lanes. The different route lengths help you determine the preferred sporting focus for shared days in the snow.

Another option is the easy snowshoe route from Pecol to Baita Cristelin. The round trip takes 2 to 3 hours, reaches an altitude of 1,607 metres and has an elevation gain of 230 metres. In summer, the Civetta lift area is a destination for hikers and mountain bikers.
