Holiday apartment in Arsié: Lago del Corlo, history and culinary delights
Holiday apartment in Arsié between lake and history
The landscape and surroundings of Arsié include Lago del Corlo, Cima Campo, historic settlements, museums and regional products. These places and themes offer different focal points.
Lago del Corlo: water and trails
Lago del Corlo is an artificial reservoir that stretches through the lower Feltrino area from Arsiè to the remains of the former hamlet of Rocca. You can explore its bays and secluded corners by kayak; trails by the lake invite you to discover Lago del Corlo and its history. Swimming is not permitted, as the lake is not designated as a bathing lake.
Historical traces from Arsié to Rivai
Forte Leone on Cima Campo was built between 1906 and 1912 as part of the Brenta-Cismon fortress. The Ponte della Vittoria on Lago del Corlo was inaugurated in 1928. The parish church of Arsiè preserves an original apse dating from before the year 1000. In Rivai, the access path to the Oratorio di San Lorenzo is lined with 14 niches recalling the Stations of the Cross.
Settlements and mountain traditions
Fumegai is an abandoned village in the Carazzagno valley at an altitude of around 600 metres. The Borgata Fumegai was built at the beginning of the 19th century. The settlement of Solivi in the Fastro district includes, among other things, rural houses with wooden exterior balconies that were formerly used to dry agricultural products. The Casa Maddalozzo Museum is located in a typical rural dwelling that has remained largely unchanged for centuries and conveys mountain traditions as well as an earlier way of life shaped by work in meadows, pastures and forests.
You can reserve guided tours of Casa Maddalozzo by telephone on 392-5737174.
Regional products and local character
During the summer season, you can taste and purchase alpine cheese, butter, ricotta and other typical products at the municipal mountain huts in the Celado–Cima Campo area. The Casel de Melam cheese-making museum in Mellame commemorates milk processing and other gastronomic traditions. When choosing a holiday apartment in Arsié, you can incorporate such focal points into your daily itinerary.
