Geological formation and religious tradition therefore belong to the same named site here. There are picnic areas near the Grotta del Beato Giolo. Fojata and Attorta in the second week of August

Villamagina’s culinary tradition is associated with the Sagra della Fojata e dell’Attorta. The festival takes place every year in the second week of August; the 2024 edition took place from 11 to 14 August in Villamagina. At the Sagra, visitors can taste the traditional savory Fojata and the sweet Attorta. The two dishes therefore already differ in their described flavor profiles: Fojata is savory, while Attorta is sweet. Both carry the municipality’s DeCo designation.

A hike leading uphill

The Sellano–Molini di Càmmoro hiking stage leads uphill towards Villamagina. It therefore sets a different focus from the Chiesa di San Silvestro, the Grotta del Beato Giolo and the Sagra: the emphasis is not on a church building, a geological formation or a dish, but on a specific route with an uphill direction towards Villamagina. The village thus encompasses both explicitly named cultural and culinary themes and a described hiking stage.
