Another cycle of frescoes from 1320 depicts a Madonna and Child enthroned with angels and is influenced by both Giottesque and Sienese painting.

In addition, Santa Maria di Pieve Pagliaccia preserves one of the few surviving examples of 13th- and 14th-century Umbrian painting.

The two cycles therefore preserve different pictorial motifs in the same place: the Crucifixion and Flagellation in 1260, and the enthroned Madonna and Child with angels in 1320.
