San Vincenzo combines the coast, local history and paths by the sea. The Parco Costiero di Rimigliano, the Passeggiata del Marinaio, churches and historic sites each create different focal points between landscape, harbor and culture. In the town, the coastal landscape, harbor mole, churches and tower meet ancient sites, a museum and a ruin in the surrounding area.

Coastal Landscape and Paths Through the Green

The Parco Costiero di Rimigliano is a 650-hectare coastal area. Mediterranean vegetation, dunes, golden sand, as well as forests of holm oaks and pines define its character. The coastal area therefore includes both open dunes and golden sand as well as forests dominated by holm oaks and pines. The maquis area facing the sea can be reached via numerous pedestrian entrances and includes paths with picnic areas. From the Town Center to the Il Marinaio Statue

The Passeggiata del Marinaio begins in the center of San Vincenzo and runs for just under one kilometer along the harbor mole to the large Il Marinaio statue. Il Marinaio is a seven-meter-high bronze artwork by Giampaolo Talani at the end of the Passeggiata del Marinaio.

Churches, Tower and Regional History

The Torre di San Vincenzo was built in 1304 by Jacopo da Peccioli and Londo Eroli on behalf of the Republic of Pisa. It is also associated with the battle between Pisa and Florence on August 5, 1505.

The Church of San Vincenzo Ferreri is the oldest of San Vincenzo's three churches and is located in the town center. Inside, there is a twelve-part fresco cycle by the painter and sculptor Giampaolo Talani. It was created between 1979 and 1989, covers 200 square meters and depicts episodes from the life of Christ as well as the Evangelists.

There are also destinations with an archaeological and historical character in the area around San Vincenzo: The Parco Archeominerario di San Silvestro is an ancient site, the Centro di documentazione di Villa Lanzi is a museum, and the Miniera del Temperino is an ancient site. The Rocca San Silvestro is a ruin in the immediate vicinity of San Vincenzo.

Beaches on the Coast and in the Surrounding Area

La Conchiglia beach on the coast of San Vincenzo has fine sand and a gently sloping seabed. Other beaches in the surrounding area are Ultima Spiaggia, Altamarea and Fosso alle Canne. Cormorano is a beach in the wider regional area around San Vincenzo. At La Conchiglia, fine sand and a gently sloping seabed characterize the beach; the other beaches are located in the surrounding area or in the wider regional area.
