Palazzo Bortolazzi is a historic palace in Vattaro dating from the late 17th century. Its striking features include a cylindrical turret and a series of loopholes below the top of the tower. The palazzo contains frescoes by Erasmo Antonio Obermuller depicting rural life. Vattaro also looks back on ancient farming traditions. The caradori, carters who travelled between Trento and Feltre and sold fruit and wood, came from there. The term therefore refers to people whose work was closely connected with trade, transport and the products of the surrounding area.

For active holiday days, Vattaro offers thematic trails that can be explored on horseback, by Nordic walking or along mountain bike routes. Other thematic trails focus on history, the senses, cuisine or physical activity. A discovery route across the Altopiano della Vigolana begins in Vattaro at Villa Bortolazzi and the adjoining chapel dedicated to Saints Rocco and Sebastiano. From Vattaro, you can also complete the 60 km della Vigolana.
