Terzolas lies in the lower Val di Sole on a wide, gently sloping terrace at the foot of Cima Lac, which rises to 2,439 metres. The village is situated on the orographically left bank of the Noce River and enjoys a sunny position amid apple orchards. The Palazzo della “Torraccia” (Casa Malanotti) stands in Terzolas. Francesco Enigler built the palazzo between 1573 and 1579. On the second floor of Palazzo Malanotti, a 17th-century fresco frieze adorns the hall. It depicts the coats of arms of the Malanotti family. The palazzo was built in the 16th century, while the fresco frieze dates from the 17th century.

The historic “Alla Torraccia” Library is located in the valuable rooms of this palazzo in Terzolas. It preserves various collections relating to Val di Sole and the surrounding areas.
