Pur at Lago di Ledro: Lakeshore and Pine Forest

Spiaggia di Pur is located on the southern shore of Lago di Ledro in a quiet, green setting. Ledro Land Art adds a cultural element: an open-air art exhibition in the pine forest of Pur. More than 30 site-specific works inspired by the relationship between people and the natural environment are displayed there. Access to Ledro Land Art is barrier-free and well signposted.

Beaches of Pur and Clear Rules for Dogs

The rules for dogs by the water are clear: Next to the larger beach of Pur, there is a fenced and signposted area reserved for dog owners; dogs are allowed in the water there. At the public beaches Pur-spiaggia grande and Pur-spiaggia piccola, however, dogs are prohibited from bathing, and this restriction is also signposted. For a stay with a dog, this distinction is specific: The permitted water area is not part of either of the two public beach sections.

Water, Hiking and Cycling around Pur

Pur is also a possible starting point for a tour on the water. The SUP tour Lago di Ledro can be started at one of four beaches around the lake; Pur is one of these options. Molina di Ledro was chosen as the starting point because of its convenient access to the beach. For planning your time on the water, it therefore remains important to distinguish between the possible beaches and the specific starting point chosen in Molina di Ledro.

The Giro del Lago di Ledro can be reached by public transport. At the same time, it follows the lakeshore and passes the forests of Pur. Along this route, both the lake and the forests of Pur are therefore part of the route.

La Boemia in Valle di Ledro reaches Pur along the lakeshore and, after Pur beach, returns to Pieve via the cycle path.

The Ledro Trek Low reaches Pur at the level of Via Casarino. After Pur, the Ledro Trek Low continues to the starting point of Ledro Land Art and through the pine forest. The hiking route therefore continues from its local reference point at Via Casarino into the forest towards the art.

The local features of Pur allow for different daily rhythms. Those who want to combine art and water can schedule the pine forest and the lakeshore sections separately during the day; for days with a dog, the designated water area must be distinguished from the public beaches. Those who also travel on foot or by bicycle can plan the route sections via Via Casarino, the lakeside path and Pieve separately. A day by the water therefore follows a different rhythm from a day on a route.
