Culture and History Around Molveno

The Taialacqua Sawmill has extensive information panels explaining the complex mechanism of its special machine, which dates from the 15th or 16th century. It is opened and operated in summer to convey its history and use. The Church of San Borromeo has a wide, rectangular single-nave interior with a coffered ceiling; its interior furnishings were created by Carlo Bonacina.

The paths also tell stories of earlier times: the Strada dei Marocchi is known as an ancient Roman road and was restored in 1265. The Fortini di Napoleone consist of trenches constructed in August 1703 during the War of the Spanish Succession against the French.

The Sciury educational trail is an informative and interactive forest walk. Along the way, you learn about the squirrel, its natural habitat, its food and the daily challenges it faces to survive. At Molveno beach near the lake, the water park includes a 20 × 15-metre adventure pool, water games, waterfalls, slides and an entertainment service.
