Celledizzo lies on a gently sloping alluvial fan and combines impressive natural experiences with vivid traces of village life. Those planning a holiday apartment in Celledizzo will find several different holiday ideas here: a circular hike to the Cascata Piz del Pai, trails to an alpine pasture, an e-bike experience and museums where wood processing and farming traditions become tangible.

Holiday apartment in Celledizzo: trails, waterfall and village culture

The Cascata Piz del Pai plunges into a narrow rocky gorge. A circular hike there begins in Celledizzo, initially follows the unpaved road towards Celentino and turns off after 300 metres towards Malga Sassa and the waterfall. The return route leads via Celentino and the gravel road “Le Penagiole” back to Celledizzo. This route is not suitable for families with pushchairs.

From the area near the Church of Santi Fabiano e Sebastiano, two footpaths lead to an alpine pasture: an old path of medium difficulty and an easier forest track. The walking time is approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. This means that two different route options can be taken into account depending on the type of hiking day desired. The Museo del Contadino di Montagna can be visited by prior reservation as part of a guided tour.

The villagescape also tells of skilled craftsmanship. The Church of Santi Fabiano e Sebastiano stands on the edge of Celledizzo’s village centre and overlooks the village’s old houses and the valley floor.

The numerous fountains with washing areas and livestock troughs are particularly characteristic. The oldest fountains have been preserved in their original form, are made of granite and bear the year 1900. They were made by the Zorzi master stonemasons from Vermiglio. The Museo Etnografico del Legno also displays the old machinery of a sawmill. Although it is electrically powered, it preserves typical mechanisms of a Venetian sawmill. The museum also exhibits traditional woodworking tools that were used from felling trees through to artistic work.

For active days by bicycle, the “Hop On the saddle” e-bike experience leads from Celledizzo via Peio Paese to the Malga Talè visitor centre. The route runs along unpaved paths and requires no special physical preparation. When choosing a holiday apartment in Celledizzo, you can incorporate these different day-trip ideas into your personal travel planning.

A special event is “I Veri”, also known as “I Ligeri”, announced in Celledizzo for 30 and 31 July and 1 and 2 August 2026. A mass and a procession with flags through the historic centre, accompanied by the Corpo Bandistico Val di Pejo, have been announced for 2 August.

Other places you can include in your travel planning: Vermiglio, Bieno, Villa Lagarina, Bolbeno, Riva Del Garda, Fiera Di Primiero, Terzolas and Folgaria.

For the overarching travel overview: Trentino.
