Obereggen can be explored through a variety of experiences. The Obereggen ski area has 18 lifts, making it a clear focus for days in the snow. At the same time, hiking and adventure trails lead through the landscape around Latemar. Toboggan Runs and Snowpark

Obereggen has two toboggan runs: “Obereggen,” which is 2.5 kilometres long, and “Absam,” which is 750 metres long. The significantly different trail lengths help you choose a suitable tobogganing route for each day and plan a varied range of winter activities.

Obereggen’s snowpark is located at an altitude of 2,032 metres and features kickers, jumps, boxes, rails, a jib line, a downhill area, a boardercross area and a banked slalom.

Hiking Around Obereggen

Fifteen hiking tours start from the centre of Obereggen. Latemar Panorama provides a panoramic highlight: the panoramic hike runs around Obereggen and offers views of the Dolomites, alpine meadows and alpine landscapes. It begins at the car park by the Obereggen valley station; the Oberholz chairlift can make the ascent to the starting point of the high-altitude hike easier. Its start at the car park by the valley station distinguishes it from the starting point of the winter hike at the upper car park.

Another specific trail idea is the winter hike to the Oberholz Alpine Hut. It begins at Obereggen’s upper car park and takes about an hour and a half on foot.

Trails with Stories and Puzzles

For shared discoveries, the trails of Latemar Adventure offer a different way to experience the surroundings. They can be reached from Obereggen by the “Obereggen-Ochsenweide” gondola lift or the “Obereggen-Oberholz” panoramic chairlift. The “Sulle orme del bracconiere” trail is a nature trail with stations about the alpine habitat and interactive audio games. The “Il segreto dell’ometto veneziano” trail connects viewpoints with interactive audio games and puzzles centred around a legend of Latemar.

Mountain Biking, Mindfulness and Goat Cheese

The Latemar Ronda mountain bike route is 44.7 kilometres long and includes 507 metres of ascent and 2,133 metres of descent. The separate figures for length, ascent and descent provide a concrete basis when comparing different activity focuses for your trip.

Mindful.Latemar is located in Obereggen along the circular trail on Mount Golfrion at an altitude of 1,872 metres and includes 18 mindfulness exercises.

At the Oberwerkstatt organic farm in Obereggen, a show dairy offers insights into the production of goat cheese as well as a tour and tasting. This insight into local food production complements the sporting and landscape experiences around Obereggen.
