Holiday apartment in Lobbi: Music, Culture and Excursions

Lobbi offers a range of specific points of interest: church music, the Monumento ai Caduti, museums and gardens in the surrounding area, a cycling tour beginning in Lobbi, as well as events featuring live music and dishes. The selection therefore ranges from an organ concert and a procession to museums, gardens and a summer programme with food.

Monumento, Procession and Organ

The Monumento ai Caduti of Lobbi stands on Via Giovanni Poggio in Lobbi. On 25 August, a procession was organised in Lobbi by the parish of San Bartolomeo on the occasion of the patron saint's feast of San Bartolomeo.

The Chiesa Parrocchiale di San Bartolomeo in Lobbi houses an organ from the second half of the 19th century. Lobbi was also added as a new venue to the 2023 international concert series featuring historic organs in the Province of Alessandria. On 26 August 2023 at 5 p.m., a concert took place in Lobbi's parish church, featuring Juan Manuel Quintana on the viola da gamba and Alessandro Urbano on the positive organ. The procession on 25 August and the concert on 26 August took place on two consecutive days. The concert was scheduled for the late afternoon.

Museums and Gardens in the Surrounding Area

Several museums and a castle are located in the surrounding area of Lobbi. These include the Marengo Museum, the Museo Etnografico della Gambarina and Alexander Alvarez Contemporary Art; all three are museums. Music, Dishes and Summer Dates

The “Notti d’Agosto 5.0” programme featured Agnolotti allo stufato, Pasta e fagioli and Lasagne al ragù as first courses on the menu. The programme comprised four evenings of live music. From 3 August to 6 August, the event was announced to take place at Bar Sport at the “Renzo Coda” sports centre in Lobbi, Via Passalacqua 34. Food and live music were jointly at the centre of this event.

Another special feature is the Fontana dell'Acqua della Salute in Lobbi. During the three summer months, it was a daily destination for at least around 50 people from the surrounding towns and from Alessandria, who underwent hydrotherapy there in the mornings.
