Primaluna has a multifaceted character: The area around the town includes extensive fertile meadows crossed by the Torrente Pioverna. The Cortabbio Mining Park offers an underground walk and leads into the interior of the Grigna Settentrionale. The “nuovo ribasso” section of the Cortabbio mine lies at an altitude of 552 m and is part of a larger complex with 16 tunnels.
