Predappio lies in the valley of the Rabbi River in the Romagna Apennines. Di Fausto transformed the appearance of the Palazzo Varano from that of a rough fortress into that of a more appropriate municipal villa.

Another historic site is the Casa Natale di Mussolini. Benito Mussolini was born on 29 July 1883 in a room on the building's first floor. The restored house, which has reopened to the public, serves as an exhibition venue for displays of historical, cultural and artistic interest. “In cammino con Mastro Lupo” is a circular route through the municipality of Predappio. Along this route, visitors can discover the numerous visible works left by Benito Partisani.
